I haven't talked much about Ashes to Ashes this series because, well because I was rather uninspired by the first two eps. :/ I did not like what I was seeing since what I was seeing looked suspiciously like Life on Mars. (Except worse, right? Cuz of that ookie Keeley Hawes being all up in thar instead of John Simm! *eyeroll*)

But this is not a post about the Been There Done That. This is a post about how ep 2x03 finally FELT like the old A2A that we all know and love. The one that's about Alex and Alex and Molly and you know, ALEX! And more importantly, it's about how thanks to lostcointoss's genius mind, the Theory has now evolved into a Super Being that is known as the SUPERTHEORY!

See the brilliance is in the fact that the Supertheory bridges not only Series 1-2 of A2A, but it also ties in perfectly with LoM! Something that Matthew Graham and Ashley Pharoah have been insisting they want to ultimately achieve! So to that I say...Word, you guys. WORD.

I'm just gonna throw some thinkies at y'all that will hopefully serve as an appendix to the work of lostcointoss. And yes, I am so in love with this theory that I'm ready to jump off the cliff Thelma & Louise style. Of course I realize that the implications are BUH-LEAK, but bleak is what they gave us with the finale of LoM, right? So I say BRING IT! Supertheory is mad awesome!

What is everyone's process on vidding with source ripped from DVDs? More specifically, once you have the VOB files sitting there, what next?

Obviously I have my own methods, but this is for Vividcon so I don't want to mess around with possible fail. (I've heard that once it's on the projector you can really tell and this makes me go MEEP!) So I'm looking for any advice on how to ultimately get the best quality clip before I put it into Vegas. (And um, vidding with straight up VOB files seems to fail. Not that I tried that or anything. *shifty eyes*)

I usually put them through VDub, but exporting as Uncompressed seemed to fail. Then I tried AutoGK but the random-ass settings I tinkered with gave me an error message. Clearly I just know how to make mediocre quality clips. *throws hands up in the air*

So please talk to me, wise ones! Any suggestions are super appreciated.

Vidding? It has been failing quite a lot recently. I really feel that there's no way I can finish the Club Vivid vid by the deadline. Especially considering how I have NOT YET STARTED. Siiiigh. Meanwhile I've been listening to NONESTOP DEPECHE MODE all day, every day, for the past three days. (I just wanna live in that synth, y'all.) So guys. Seeker vid to "Policy of Truth?" Eh? AHAHAHAHA! GET IT?! 0_o

Posting? Have been failing at it as well. I know I should have said something about the A2A premiere but honestly, I don't have the energy for a mega thinky post at all. (I'm confident that ohvienna is providing enough squee for the both of us. :)) I liked it but had wicked massive problems that made me sad, and it has nothing to do with The Theory because all their Text Hammers can eat me. They can throw them at me like Thor! The Theory still holds so says the truth that's happening in THE SUBTEXT. (I'm looking at you first song of the series!)

Kinking? (Why yes that is a word....now.) Been very good at it! Wish I could be even better. But alas. Too much other crap is pulling me every which way. Why is it that I feel it is my sacred duty to keep the Seeker fandom active? I just feel like I have to be there flailing and spreading the flail all the time! I love it but at the same time it also makes my arms super tired. :(
